Aug. 28th, 2021, Saturday afternoon, A message came in on my Telegram with a "Hello" from a new person I have never met. I didn't add this person to my contact list yet, and I said: "Hi. How can I help you?". Let's call this person "B". I wish I took a screenshot of this conversation, but this person deleted everything before I could. I wonder why.
B said: "I want to get to know you. Where are you from?"
I responded: "I'm curious where you found my phone number, and what brought your attention to write to me"
B said: "I just want to get to know you. Is it a crime to want to do that???"
I responded: "I was just asking normal questions, and you got mad. I am not interested in getting to know you."
B then deleted all the conversations before I could take a screenshot. B didn't write anything anymore. Just like that.
So many questions came to my head. Why did B have to do that? Is B doing this to other people? What just happened?
I don't have enough information to judge this case, but dang, it felt sketchy. I am up for meeting new people and all, and I might be too fast to judge on this, but there was nothing normal about this encounter.
