Alcohol

I haven't been drinking alcohol too often in the past 5 years or so, and I would only drink it at a social event or something, maybe because it helps me socialise a bit too.

This post is about a time I went to a student's nation to celebrate the birthday of a classmate.

The student's nation had a dancing hall, and we three were dancing. One of us knew a student worker there, and the student worker gave us shots for free a few times. I took one, and that was enough for me, I also said I didn't want any more, so no need to pour another one for me. The student worker (male) still poured one for me and at that moment, I felt a bit pressured to take another shot because the student worker gave us these for free. Luckily, I was able to stand my ground and pour the shot into the trash bin.

But gosh, the pressure was real, and I can imagine that people usually drank too much because of this kind of reason.

I hope you stand your ground and say no (if needed, politely) if you know you have had enough. We can have fun without being completely wasted.

Something shocking and traumatising happened during my yoga class today, so I hope you will only read this when you are in an okay state...
