Michelle is an amazing writer and mentor and activist, and I love her. This book was especially interesting to me because she described her life journey before, during, and after she became the first lady in 2009. I haven't been too interested in reading politics until recently. In addition to that, it was inspiring to me, because she showed the power of persevering and passion and community work, which are what I strongly believe in and would like to be part of.
