Fearne has done a great job at talking to me through this book. I feel that she could see me through or something because I can relate to a lot of things that she discussed in this book. I think Fearne has done a great job at laying out the topics, issues, and potential solutions/strategies to find calm in our daily life. She gets very real and authentic when she describes her stresses, which I find very relatable.

I also enjoy getting to know the guests that Fearne brought into the book to share their expertise on how they find calm in their different ways of life.

I just realized that I bookmarked a lot of pages where I should go back, and most of them are tips on what to do when I feel stressed, which sure will come in handy. A few examples of things to do to stop stress from gaining momentum are:

  • Have a bath (which I have never done in my life so far)

  • Go for a walk

  • Sit next to an open window for five minutes

  • Listen to your favorite song (and don't do anything else), etc.

I love the section titled: "Let it go", as someone who holds on to a lot of things and is very good at overthinking. I feel seen and I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's freeing in a way when I realized that there are some people out there who have similar difficulties and challenges. What Fearne recommends in this section is "trust". To trust that we are capable to handle what life throws at us. It's going to be okay.

There are so many other sections that are so relatable to daily life activities and moments, and I highly encourage you to check the book out, if you are looking to find ways to feel calmer in life. Of course, we'll need to do the intentional work, and this is a great start. Cheers to a more calm and intentional way of living.
